This mini is actually based on the first script JJ had submitted to me. At the time we had not discussed the characters or the story that much. So with that lack of collaboration, JJ wrote the script not realizing Deemos does not have fantastic demon powers and abilities.
The script had originally been written for a main page update. It had also called for Deemos summoning even tinier demons to terrorize the fleas attacking Max, forcing them to the point of despair in which they would then hang themselves with little dog hair nooses.
Some crazy stuff I know.

But as most of you have realized, Deemos is gaining better control and awareness over his ability to manipulate fire. If you cannot tell, in the last panel, Max is hairless and covered in ash.

Ugh, why are things so hard to draw!

Anyhow, I hope I got the idea across. Im going to go kick a door barefoot now.

Hooray for the flea idea coming to fruition. It's a tough sell to convey a dog with his hairs burned off, but I think you got it across.
