For rituals and spells and other things of that nature I will try to stick with the truest form of Latin translation that is possible. A very small number of you know what is to come, but for the most, well, if you look up the Latin translation, you maybe able to guess at what happens next.
Anyhow, I wanted to get the full three pages/parts up, but while Im working on the inking and layout for page/part 3 I realize that I wouldnt have the finished product up before the weekend was over.
Again apologies here for not updating hardly at all last week. Some other things took away my attention. Ill try to get back to a regular schedule this week.
Thanks to Justin aka BlueKnightOne and Kim aka Pin for the fan/guest work.
Enjoy the lineart, it will be colored soon.

Sad part is, I actually enjoyed the partial-color/partial background look. Seriously. Draws the characters out more. But my preferences are odd to begin with, so who am i to comment?

Still, well done.

Thanks. I think I might be able to pull this sort of thing off more often. I find that trying to fit everything on one page really truncates what we want to tell in a story, so probably in the future when it calls for it, Ill do these multi page updates more frequently.
I did learn a little bit from the MT Beach Bash tournament though. As much fun as it is to divert from what Ive been doing, its nice to return to it after a small break.
No worries on your tastes though. Alot of people prefer the B&W style of lineart. So much manga, doujinshi, etc. are basically just lineart with splashes of grey half tones. I enjoy it too. But to reference an earlier conversation, I want something that stands out a little from the crowd. So many people have webcomics with simple drawings, stick figures, or are so manga based that they are no longer original, that I want to move away from that crowd. And I think if you take a page of mine that is just lineart and then hold it up next to a fully colored page, I think the eye is more drawn to the color.
I would, however, be able to churn out 3 to 4 pages a week easy if it was just lineart.
Eh, pros vs cons.

It's looking good so far! And I like that you decided to do this in color, because it wouldn't feel nearly as vibrant in black and white. I mean, Deemos is bright red, and a lot of your coloring effects (Deemos' glowing green eyes, the fireworks on the Fourth of July page, the scene in hell, etc. etc.) would completely fall flat in black and white.
I can't wait to see what happens next. Go go go! Fighting~~~~~~! (insert clever encouraging thing here.)

I meant that not necessarily as "just do the lineart," but more "just show what needs to be shown, just color what needs to be colored" sorta thing. Simplicity. Telling the story through minimal design. But again, just me being odd

I realized after I had posted that you had actually said partial colored elements instead of just lineart. I hear you on that. Ill probably use that as an artistic device sometimes, much like you see those photographs that have a splash of color in them, like a red heart surrounded by grays. I agree with you that it can add some flair if used correctly.

I really enjoy the color, and think that if I had to choose between splashes and full color vibrance,I would always go with the full color. A lot of that is because as we are working on the plans for the pages, I gain a full color imagining of the page, and Rigs consistently blows me away with a better final product. Here is where I will plug in the caveat: I understand what it is to be busy and overrun, and distracted, so I feel that a good sprinkling of color to spruce up a page is more than enough to stun the masses. So to give you the Clif's Notes...I love the full color, and am still very pleased with the select color images. Does that make me a kiss-ass? Yes. Is the truth anyway cuz my boy has the illest lines in the biz? No Doubt! Represent.
